Dhol is a comedy starring four characters Sam (Tusshar Kapoor), Pakya ( Sharman Joshi ), Maru ( Rajpal Yadav ) and Goti (Kunal Khemu). The four characters are good friends as they all have similar views of life and leisure. Sam, Pakya, Maru and Goti have no aim or ambition in life. They want to live a happy, rich life with all the comforts but at the same time they are all averse to doing any kind of hard work. They want to be rich and successful without any effort.

Sam, Pakya, Maru and Goti are good friends because they have a similar nature. They are childish, funny, and naughty but at the same time fun-loving and good natured. They each try out various ideas and schemes to get rich quickly, but unfortunately none of their get rich quick schemes work. They are left disappointed and disheartened by their failure.

However they come up with a final plan to get rich quickly and easily. They decide that the easiest way to get rich quickly is to marry a pretty rich girl. Their plan is further boosted when the pretty rich girl Kanchan ( Tanushree Dutta ) arrives in their neighbourhood. Each tries to win over the affections of Miss Kanchan; they adopt various ways to out beat each other to gain her affections. However along the way many secrets are unlocked and a spiral of chaos, confusion and drama unfolds. A murder mystery, a crime and suspense also add to the element of heightened drama in the plot. So will the four boys get entangled in this mess or will they be the ones to finally sort out the mess. So who will win Miss Kanchan 's heart finally?

Dhol , a comedy film has been produced under the Percept picture banner and directed by Priyadarshan . The film also stars Payal Rohatgi , Arbaaz Khan, Asrani etc. The film's screenplay has been done by Manisha Korde and the music has been composed by Pritam. The film is set for release around September 21.
